Yep, definitely open. I am not a big PC user but these types of sites are invaluable! Hoping to fix my 'remain running' issue with a carby kit via this site - so I'm sure I'll have more questions once I start using the bike! Cheers.

It is a small community of rotary enthusiasts, it is hard to keep it fresh without new blood posting their views and questions. Wayne has made some great contributions to the site, as have others, but more is needed. I see this issue on other sites too, the young riders are not getting involved, and certainly not with such specialty machinery as these bikes. Younger people are not as interested in mechanical things as I was when I was young. I never thought I would see the changes I have seen in the world, and I am sure there are more to come. So lets try to support our interests as best we can and I will try to contribute more to do my part. Jeff

I own some rare vehicles. I’d b lost without a site like this and other sites like this for other rare things. There would be tons more Re5s in the grave yard by now, without this site. Not to mention the friendships etc, Id pay.... please keep up the good work!!

Here is my $0.02.
I have suffered a moderate health and financial setback that has forced me to place ALL my Suzukis and Yamahas to the back burner. So far I have only been forced to sell my HD, but hey - it's an HD. You can pick them up anywhere.
I haven't given up on the hope of getting back into the game and riding and wrenching again. When I do, and I am getting loser with each passing month, I hope this resource is still here for me.
FWIW.

gttim: I hope the worse is behind you and everything is getting better for you. Tim was the 3rd person to join this forum when I started it in 2008. That includes me as the first person. Thanks for posting and I look forward to seeing updates from you with some good news added to it. Take care.

It would be a shame to loose it. I'm new sice August 2020 and have gotten so much help here. It's winter here is Wasington too cold to finish the bike although its close to road ready. As a new guy I havent had much to contribute but as I learn the bike and any of it's quirks I plan very much to contribute.

I knew zero about the rotary bike game. Yet I’m an encyclopedia on Mazda and the rotary. I’ve been to Hiroshima, visited Mazda corporate and have many contacts with supplies in Japan. I found 2 dead bikes, that I’m starting to bring back. I can say in the time I started learning about the Re-5, this site is really a extremely valuable site. Unlike the damn rx7club where it’s mostly people that have no clue, this forum while small is extremely informative and precise. I already have a very good idea what to look for on getting these bikes running due to the site. Keep it open, the bikes will become more popular. Since I told the few rx7 clients about the bike, the ears peaked up and got excited. They are very unknown bikes, and with everything RE has its majority share of “haters” that never used the engine. It’s a shame, however the rotary is having a renaissance it’s just very behind the scenes with products that are not commercial sold. One day books will be written how the piston should have been tossed to the dust bin and the far superior rotary should have taken its place. The engine came too soon, should have arrived in the 80’s. Most consumers from the 70s were just too damn conservative and didn’t want to try something new. Too bad.
