Wow that is a good one . Some thing similar happened to me in my 85 corolla gts . The header got so hot it started melting my shoes . It felt like if I was slipping on oil . I am glad I joined the re5 forums seems like there's lots of good people here . I am just another old Motor head guy with a passion for rotaries .

Probably one of the quickest turnarounds I've seen! Well done and enjoy the ride... you'll have the wankel grin in no time!

That's just some inspiration I am using . Since the bike is not 100% original and it has a few damage areas , I have been thinking on making it a full show cafe racer . It will riquire lots of custom parts and time . That's just what's up in the air .

There's probably a few people who won't like it but I say bring it on! a nicely executed one would look pretty cool. I've only seen one cafed RE before and it was pretty woeful- a squared off ali seat chucked on without much thought

I know lots of people won't like it . I am one to keep things as original as possible but being a rotary plus making it cafe racer the right way is something special . And like I said it's going to take me a while . I am looking at different carb, different exhaust, suspention ,brakes but also keeping a classic look . Is a rotary thing . Don't know if I can pull it off but I will try my best .

Your bike is too nice for that...
Talk to me about a parts/project bike.
Just a thought.

Ok fair enough . Once I save a good amount of money I can always find a beater for the cafe project . Makes sense
