This bike is in Warrensburg Missouri, only about a half hour from where I live. I'm not going to check it out... it's already too high for my tastes. I'd rather have them stock. Good for him though, I hope he does well!

There must have been a good number of RE5's sold around here.... Kansas City, Omaha, Lincoln, Wichita, and neighboring towns. Some of the smaller cities may have had Suzuki dealers back in the day. Maybe Warrensburg, Sedalia, Topeka, Council Bluffs? Who knows. I've seen probably 10 come up for sale in the last year within a 3 hour drive from Kansas City (and I bought some of those). Some may have been "imported" into this area but I'll bet most were sold around here new.

Mine was originally sold in Kansas City, you may be on to something.

Did you have paperwork with the bike showing it was sold in Kansas City? Or how did you figure out where it was sold new?

Interesting observation Tom, I think you are on to something I purchased my RE in Denver & although it had a Colorado plate that expired in 1982 it also had this inspection sticker on the front fork

Mine had a big dealer sticker that covered the brake fluid reservoir cap that showed it was from Kansas City. Plus the guy I bought it from here in Phoenix said he got it on ebay from somebody in Kansas where it had been sitting in a chicken coup for 22 years.

The Ebay bike sold for $4850.00. I'd say that he did quite well.
