No vibration at all in the mirrors when riding, they are so clear it's like the bike is off.

First off, the two bikes look great together in the photos so please send more of them in other photos when you can. As for the video the keys seem to cycle through in large vibrations at certain rpms, to confirm any issues id give Sam at RR a call, send him the video clip as he may have a solution to your problem. Its got to be something related to the engine for sure and since hes an expert on the total workings of the RE5 i'm sure he may be able to give you a better answer as to whats wrong.

I know theres a tensioner in the engine that preloads the chain from the rotor to the clutch basket on the right hand side. If this tensioner or the chain has some minor issue, its possible it can create the scenario where its resonates or "whips" at certain rpms. I'm not saying this is your problem but something like that can cause a similiar situation. Is it possible you can use a listening instrument like a stethoscope to isolate the source of the sound/vibration.

Tonny,
Have you checked the transmission sprocket? Every re5 I have ever owned has a loose front sprocket nut...
Don't know if this is your problem, but might be worth checking.
Best,
Jess

The slack drive engine sprocket could do that sort of thing once the bikes moving, however in the video the bikes just on the stand in neutral being revved.

Best, Jess Jess, yes I have checked the front sprocket, and it was loose. I have now replaced it with a new one and a new chain. -Tonny

Okay...
I seriously doubt that it has anything to do with the primary chain. I have seen primary chains with 80K miles that are still within spec... To date, I have never had to replace one.
I suppose anything is possible...
I will think some more... and watch the vid a couple more times.
Best,
Jess

While Jess brought up the topic of slack drive sprocket nuts another thing to check on is the clutch basket centre nut and locking washer as well. Many of these bikes have had some interesting work done on them in their past and if the RE5s follow the lifecycle as the GT750, a lot of them will also have slack clutch basket nuts as well.

I have had the same thought, but is a bit more difficult to check, than the sprocket but I am afraid I have to do it. I know the rotary unit have been changed years ago. and I thought that maybe the counter weight is mounted wrong or something like that, but from the drawings and pictures I have found on the internet, and in the repair manual I can't se that as an option, or ..........?? -Tonny

The counterweight only goes on one way...
A new counterweight comes as part and parcel of a new "proper unit"
I doubt anyone would mess with it as they are a pita to take off...
Best,
Jess

No, I don't have any idea, what causes the vibrations. My plan is, to I will wait till winter, and then open to the primary chain and clutch, and se if I can't find anything.

I got a NOS primary drive chain today, from Rotary Recycle. A bit expensive yes, but hopefully worth it ;D -Tonny

Before opening, have you had a look on carb and ignition? I think a problem with a chain is more noisy, no?
