Had a nice package arrive from RR last week (after our delightful customs relived me off £52 and parcel force took another 13.50 handling fee bless them all !! ) anyway the package contined a rectifier and RRs new ignition unit ,the rectifier, well is a rectifier with any extra earth cable and new six way block connecter with brass connectors and fitted stright back in the origanal fixing. now the ignition unit looks very simple if suzuki had made it this simple we wouldent have all these cdi problems. The unit comes with a huge coil so ican see way Jess recons it gives abetter spark, at the other end is two circular plates that fit over the spindle where the contact breaker points currently sit the ignition has to be re timed to 8.5 I havent attemted to fit the unit yet but the instructions seem stright forward enough . iam going to make sure the M model is running correctly on its origanal system first then swap for the RR system . Keeping the origanal cdi unit for testing the other bikes this being my last working cdi. IF work permits I will take the unit to stafford if any one wants to give it a looking at. martin.

Martin, I know what you mean about the VAT and handling charges when we import parts for our bikes, sometimes it just doesn't make it worth the extra cost.
Having said that I'd like to see RRs electronic ignition module, I should be lurking around the SOC stand where there will be an RE5M on display.
