Coming back from London this afternoon I pulled off to take these pictures to put on here for the American members, Stonehenge, as old as England itself. (sadly I didn't notice the brown rubbish bag in the grass or I would have picked it up, oops) No surprises it's raining, it is Summer here !!

That would have shocked you wouldn't it Ray. ;-)
(I've just had it pointed out to me that the bottom of the side cover where the screw knob goes should be black, oops, I'd better get onto that.)

I can get rid of the bag for you if you want. That would be a simple fix in photoshop. Let me know if you would like me to do that for you. You can send a larger picture to me via email. I can also sharpen the image up for you.

Thanks for that Gary but I'm not that bothered, I just know Americans love History which is why I made a point of pulling off the road and taking the shot with that "pile of old stones" in the background. Thanks for the polite Hints too Lee, but you know me, I don't do polite, I'm way too stupid for subtlety. :-) Couldn't have done it without you're help either Jess.

What's with the cyclone fence Didge, is the whole site off limits these days ?
I was there 20 years ago and you could still walk around the stones.

You can still get onto the site but can't get in with the stones, there is a path around about 50' from the stones seperated by a barrier

Well here's a precedence anyway........how about RE5's around the world with famous landmarks......Mt Rushmore..........Neuschwanstein..........Mt Cook.........we've got Stonehenge.
Get contributing, your RE5 by a local landmark. Jess can put the pics up around RR.
I've always wanted a shot of my RE5 with Ayers Rock in the background. Pity it's 2,812 klm away. Maybe a shot with the Opera House in the background will have to do.........

I may have one of mine on the trailer at the Jack Daniel's Distillery. Is that famous enough?

That's a brilliant idea.
Dammit, I was in London on mine last weekend, Buckingham palace with a RE5, that would have worked.
The fence is the perimiter between the road and the site Wayne, the ramp on the ground in the background is wheelchair access over a rough and uneven bit of grass, you can still walk close around the stones but no longer through them or touch them as they reckon there was the possibility of damage from over contact with people, shame really although I do understand why.

I went there after stopping by Rotary Recycle. I'll check with the photographer (my girlfriend) and see what we have.
