I picked up a 1975 RE5. I have only seen one of these before and that was in 1977 or so. Where do you guys get spark plugs for this beast? Don't think i need one just yet, but it seems to be a rather obscure plug. What oil do you use in the injector pump? I am going to remove the fairing and saddle bags and reinstall all the original parts that came with it. I don't have a stock seat for it, but would like to find one for it. Anyway, I'm happy to find this site and I'm sure i will have more questions as time goes on. You can see a picture of it by clicking on this link. i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k494/scrapvalue/1107101038.jpg

Spark plugs and/or spark plug adapters are available from Rotary Recycle. Here is a thread on the adapters: re5rotary.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=resources&action=display&thread=641We recommend Castrol GTX 20-50 in the oil sump, and metering tank. If you wish to use one oil for the entire bike, you can use Castrol GTX 20-50 in the trans as well. Some folks decide to do this as it makes it simple. You may also choose to use any good quality trans oil designed for wet clutches. My preference is Belray 85 weight. Good luck and enjoy your bike. Best,
