There is an another way to make the bike much easier to set on the center stand.... Since the stock shocks were crap, get an aftermarket shock that measures 13.25" long... (sorry Wayne... Heresy... I know ) The bike gildes up on the stand with considerably less effort. Best, Jess

You should have seen the trauma when I discovered a worm drive clamp on my upper radiator hose (old M, not the new A).
Yes, your suggestion would work. Makes doing mono's easier as well : )
And as a matter of fact, I last night fitted IKON shocks to the rear of the M. As this is going to be my rider now that I have a beautiful original A, I decided that I could live with the travesty. They are 1/2" longer- not enough to help with the centrestand though. For interest to any readers, the stock shock is 12 1/4" eye to eye. Interestingly, the IKON is very close in general looks and only the real sticklers notice (like me).
