Australian low octane (~91 octane) is disappearing. Most low octane fuels contain 10% Ethanol. You need to buy 95 or 98 octanes to avoid this in many cases.
Does anyone have any technical expertise regarding rotary engines and ethanol fuels ?
I realise that I can run the engine on higher octane (octanes lower than ~91 are not generally available in Australia), but I'm curious.

The only concern would be any rubber seals (carby, tank and oil control between rotor and housing)
