I think the guy is full of BS, but that is me...looks awful worn and beat up for only 1600 miles, smells like a bits bike to me...a leftover parts special.

He probably put in a super high buy it now, hoping someone would bite. This will be interesting to watch. Hard to completely tell the overall condition due to the small pictures. The paint on the frame appears to be very nice (from the one small picture I see it in). If he wants top dollar, he could have spent more time cleaning and buffing it up. It could look better than it does with not much work.

I opened up the pics in the venido files and they look pretty ok from what i can see. The thing is i got mine for a VERY decent price, and its in better shape than this one, and mines got a lot less miles on it. Well ok, thats whats on the speedo, but we all know they can be reset or altered. Still, it should sell well and probably go for around $4800 or higher,,, wow from the recent prices on fleabay it seems i got my RE5 just before the price increases.

$4050 now. It would be nice to see the bike bid to the reserve and a sale completed so we know it is a legit price.

Now it looks like it will fly past my predicted $4800.00 selling price, damn i cant ever get a final price right no matter how i try. Oh wait a minute, these are the kinds of buyers who drive the price way up into the stratosphere... This sort ofthing makes the average joe pay through his poor a** just to get a bits bike to try and restore. It would be interesting to know just how many "rough" bikes have been stripped with restoration in mind only to be parted out at a later date.

I wish a nice one would be up for auction with no reserve so we could get a better idea what people are willing to pay for these. I often think of selling mine because I have had it for 2 years now and am not any closer to getting it on the road now than I was 2 years ago. In fact, I am further away than I was back then. When it comes down to it though, I can't get myself to sell it. I want to at least be able to ride it for awhile to find out if I like that type of cycle or not. My thinking is that I will like it, especially if I can trust it for longer rides cause I am sure it would be more comfortable than any bike that I have on a longer ride.

I wish I could. It would be nice to have a cycle that is reliable.
Today I was riding on my H1 and it suddenly stalled. I didn't think it was out of gas as I had put in extra the last time I got gas. I changed one of the plugs that seems to foul more than the others and still nothing. I let the bike cool for a few minutes and put it on reserve and it started right up and I made it home. I still don't know for sure what the problem was. Maybe it was out of gas but if it was, it sure got terrible gas mileage for that tank of gas.

A Kawi triple with good gas mileage??? dream on,, those puny looking stylish tanks hold nothing in terms of gasolene. Theres two things a Kawi triple is well known for if ridden often, you will always run out of gas quickly AND go through lots of top end parts,,,, its the nature of the beast...

I'm pretty used to the gas mileage that I get and have a good idea when I will need to stop and get gas. This tank went much faster than expected. I can usually go for 2 rides before I need more gas. This was the beginning of my 2nd ride on the gas that I had. I usually take pretty much the same route every time I go out. The bike died so quickly on the highway, suddenly sounding like it was running on one cylinder until it stalled. I looked in the tank and could see gas but not a lot. My thought while I sat there wondering what happened was that maybe the petcock was blocked. The bike did start when I put it on reserve after priming for a few seconds and I rode it home. I probably should have switched back to the regular tank to see if it stalled again to find out if that was the problem. I'm thinking it is something more than just being out of gas but of course I hope that I am wrong. I won't mind feeling foolish in this situation.
