I saw that yesterday and was going to post a link to it but forgot. Its all there and in decent shape but the shiny bits will need serious reworking to return them to a proper finish. It will be interesting to see how much it sells for, i suspect close to $2,000.00 if the bidders are serious about it.

I will be watching this also. $2000 sounds like a good guess to me. Will we be surprised at the final price? We'll see in a few days.

If it goes for 2k... someone should be very happy...
Looks like a decent bike with all the stuff there.
Best,
Jess

This one was bid up to $3075 but the reserve was not met. Seems to be a lot of blue ones up for auction lately. Used to be all red ones and black 76's. Prices sure are going up also.

I wish there were larger pictures of this bike. The one thing that I see is the picture of the speedo area. There is rust on the bolts and fade and discoloration. Makes me feel that the bike might not be in as good condition as the other pictures make it look. I'm all for a high actual sale price for this. It just makes all of ours higher in value.

The rusty bolts are not really anything to go by there as they rust easily anyways and the fade could be no more than storage dirt/grime. To really assess such a bike you need to physically see it CLOSELY. Had the owner sprayed a little WD40 on that part of the bikes speedo it would suddenly look much better in the pics,,LOL

Are you saying the rusty bolts are bad and everything else stayed good? I don't think so. Rust in one place leads to rust and pitting in other places. If I were to pay 5 grand for that bike, I would expect it to be in really nice, overall condition. I bet there is a reason why this seller has such small pictures and it's not because he is using a monitor with 640x480 resolution.

Gary its merely an observation about the bolts you mentioned, but its actually the washer under the bolt thats rusty in the speedo pic. Im not sure why he used 640x480 resolution, but i personally use it so the pics i post open easily and fit the screen without a viewer programme. This bikes not in the best of shape for certain items, BUT its a complete bike in relatively reasonable condition. Id think this time the seller might get closer to $4000.00 but not much higher unless a determined bidder sees it.

Bike hasn't been run for 25 years according to the seller...I would be very hard pressed to spend more than $2500 on it regardless of anything else, condition be damned. But that is just me, Murphy's best friend.

d**n d**n d**n... what's this an automatic P.C. censor? Can't say d**n? Must be a Liberal board... The message board came with filters already installed. I left them as is but there is a way to get rid of them. I can and will get rid of the one that got your message if I can figure out what word it was that you were trying to type. I got the one from your first message fixed. Also removed the filter if anyone types the word Dick. Would be funny if someones name was Dick and it was replaced with thingy. I could have fun with this censored word list but I'll leave it alone.

But that is just me, Murphy's best friend. He speaks sense, 25 years and nothing is done to the bike. After many years of neglect the dirt, dust and grime can embed into the finish and plastic parts. Rubber parts are suspect.
