We have had increasingly difficult problems with shipping to the UK.
In the last 6 months we have lost about 25% of the packages to the UK. To date, our wonderful postal service has not paid one claim.
Therefor, we are now only shipping to the UK (and overseas) using global express, UPS, or FedEx. Unfortunately, this raises shipping costs significantly.
On the positive side, folks should receive their parts in 5-10 days as opposed to 4-6 weeks and possibly never...
We apologize for the problems and hope this move will correct any issues.
Best Regards,
Jess

The postal service in England is independant. Each "post office" is privately owned, usually in a store, usually run by Arabs. Lots of stuff goes "missing" if it looks like it has value. Watch E Bay for the missing stuff.

I'd rather pay a bit more and know it's gonna show up, and quick, than slow and if ever.
No need to apolagize I wouldn't have thought Jess, tis the way of the world nowadays.

I've had a few deliveries from Jess for my latest project using express mail, a bit more expensive but quicker by the time you have waited for the letter to pay your customs charges and it gets delivered its about 10 days which is not to bad. that is if your letter arrives my last parcel got held awaiting payment of charges no letter arrived had to phone the delivery agents to find out how much needed paying, then pay over the phone then finely get it delivered, that how efficient our postal service is Hmmmmmmmm

Better safe than sorry Jess but I must admit that I've had many parcels from the States mainly RR and a few other countries around the world and never had one go missing. Tempting fate now I know. I have seen a big rise in postal charges from the States on eBay, so big that it makes a wanted item just too expensive unless you're getting it for virtually nothing. One person that seems to keep his postal chargesl low is Paul Miller, bought many items from him in the past mainly for my Stinger and always found the charges reasonable but not sure who he uses.

Maybe on the orders from the U.K. give the buyer the option for the cheaper rate with the buyer understanding that there has been problems with items being received in the past and leaving the option open to them to take the chance on the cheaper postage. Those who have had items shipped to them from the U.S., like Lee already have a good feel as to the success rate of these types of shipments. Have the buyer make that choice and state it in an email or fax and keep it until you know they have there item. Of course you would have your receipt that the item was shipped so the cheaper shipping option would put the risk on there end if that is what they choose to do. There is also the priority flat rate shipping boxes to help lower the cost of shipping heavier items if they will fit in the box.
I'm noticing the increase in shipping to the U.K. also. Probably around a 25% increase. Luckily I can still ship a t-shirt to the U.K. for around $10 which isn't too bad but the heavier items, adding 25% cost to the shipping is a lot. Just my thoughts on the issue.
