Asking if anyone out there has a RE5 seat pan they are looking to sell/trade. On my way to a proper restoration, but mine is shot. Jeff

Solid seat pans are VERY hard to come by...
I have tried to get some made in fiberglass... but have not yet been able to get it done yet...
Best,
Jess

Thanks for that. I will follow up to see if it is still there. Did not think this would be a hard part to find. Jeff

Hello Jeff,
The RE5 seat has just been relisted by DK Motorcycles, assume it’s the same one mentioned by Gordon. Seat cover and foam look shot - but the seat pan metal base may be usable.
See eBay item No. 350360049618
Look at the images and judge for yourself.
Hope you find one soon.
Regards, Mick J

Hello Jeff,
I'm also looking for a seat base/pan. I have a spare RE5 bike that I'm breaking for parts for my own RE5 restoration project & to swap/sell, but the seat pan is rotted through & the one on the bike I'm restoring is one of those large American aftermarket double seats that I want to replace.
As I'm looking, if I come across more than one useable seat pan I'll let you know. If you find more than one, after you have found yours, id be interested to know.
Good luck with your search.
Nick

Nick I'll take that aftermarket seat off of your hands. I'm looking for a spare seat to use with passengers.

Nick, Will let you know if I find any pans, this could take awhile. I too have a parts bike I can trade/swap parts with others. Did you buy the estate sale bike in Anaheim Ca? It had the type of aftermarket seat you describe. Jeff
