I have been chasing this Squeak now for a couple of days. With the plug out and slowly kicking over there is none.Plug out and spinning on starter sounds fine. Installing the plug and kicking over produces the squeak.as well as firing up on starter.Regular/irregular and sometimes different in pitch.I examined the threaded plug hole in the proper unit and found it covered in gunk/carbon/dirt.Cleaned it all up and replaced the cleaned up plug.Fired up the motor and the squeak has gone.I'm used to installing normal plugs with sealing rings and not overtightening them.MaybeI haven't been tightening these rotary plugs enough as they rely on a taper for sealing and combined with a dirty seat gave me a slight compression leak.Cheers,Shaun

I've been lazy Steve, relying on feel like I do with normal plugs.Looks like I'm going to start using the torque wrench on this one.Don't want to strip those threads.Hope that's all the squeak was.Went out today to test everything as I've got an MOT booked tomorrow.Engine ran ok.Cheers,Shaun.

i do the engine case bolts by feel hard to get 6.5 ft llbs on some of the torque wrenches, you can the squeak by putting your finger in the plug hole not tightly then turn the engine on the kickstart, i think it how the are is forced out of the small hole at the bottom of the plug hole
