My GT550K had no grab-rail as standard when I bought it in Aug 1974,only the standard chrome lifting handle.I have seen RE5's with and without grabrails.I picked up a GT750 grabrail for my rotary and it fitted although the fork-end which bolts onto the shock absorber mount is slighty short. However I;m going to remove it as the bottom edge of the seat has been sitting on the grabrail and it's starting to damage the seat cover. One of my M's has a pattern on the top of the seat while my other M has just a plain cover .Did they send some out with plain covers as it does look old and original?Cheers,Shaun.

We have aftermarket grab rails for the Re5. They are also a very tight fit...
The heat pressed patterned seat is the correct seat cover. I have seen smooth versions, but I do not believe they are correct.
I know that Sam offered a smooth seat cover at one time. But I believe it was aftermarket and not part of the Suzuki accessory line.
Hope that helps
Best,
Jess
