I owned a VN 1500 for 20 years along side my RE5 and other weard and wonderfull bikes,
Not once did I thing about the oil filter being the same. I seem to remember they were shorter, but I will order one and test it out.

Tokyo Roki Co Ltd. Made and listed for the Suzuki parts range
Filter Number 16510-05A00 . This filter is listed for GSXR 1100 & 750 . GV 1200, 1400 & 700 and also the VS 700 series.
These I have never tried , I still use NOS ones, but will try something else one day.

I ordered the K&N Motorcycle Engine Oil Filter KN-303C Chrome $13.39 with free shipping, it looks good - much better than the orange Fram that I have now, lets hope it fits.
I received the K & N filter it looks really good, except that it does n't fit.
So the Kawasaki VN 1500 one fitting does not seem to be the case.
I was hoping for a relaxing Friday evening putting on the new oil filter, and a nicely buffed up water pump cover. The oil filter doesn't fit and the the two central water pump bolts are so tight I didn't want to snap them off - so I gave up.

BEST Rog I don't think these fit either, I have tried the filter from my TL1000 (which also fits the bikes you listed) the K & N 138 -C and it does not fit. |
