Hi,
new to the forum and located in Germany.
Looking for an aftermarket European Oil filter recommendation (Bosch, Champion etc.) for the RE5.
Cannot get the K&N HP-1001 locally.
Any suggestion?

Have tried GT Reiner in Germany he might still have an NOS one.

I thought I said K&N HP-1003... I can't type worth a damn so I may have gotten it wrong in my email to you...
Some of the European guys might have a replacement that is available in your part of the world...

K&N HP-1003 crosses to a Fram PH3614... Maybe that will help? DISCLAIMER>>> I have not tried the Fram number, so check it yourself.
Glad to know K&N's are available in GB. They are an excellent filter, albeit a little pricey. I use them on my personal bikes.
When my supply of Aftermarket filters that Sam had made are gone, I will not supply oil filters anymore. It makes no sense for me to stock them, and charge you guys more for them than you can buy an equivalent for yourself at your local auto store.
I only have a very small number of NOS filters left. When they are gone... That is it. So, if anyone needs one... better get it quick.

Fram's site also says PH4967 as a replacement for the HP-1003. Same disclaimer as above...  Best, Jess |

I found a place on the web that says, 1985 Toyota Camry filter fits and has been used... (fram PH6357)
Yet again... Same disclaimer.

Genuine Suzuki RE5 oil filters are still available from Robinsons in the U.K. at almost £37 each plus delivery, so you would be looking at about £40 delivered in the U.K.
Proven aftermarket K&N filters on eBayuk are about £12 with free delivery.

Good for you guys... I thought I was the only one with those left (and not many at that).
I'd be curious as to how many they have? I might buy a case if I get get them shipped without breaking the bank...

Just checked with Martin ,they only have a couple in stock priced at £31.19+vat part no.16510-37010.000 and does not come up as discontinued

Now here is a chart for you, I couldn't copy the exact page so click on the "4967" part number and it will bring up an application page and cross reference table that can be traced back to the HP 1003.
