Hi,joined up today.Brief introduction.I live in Cornwall,UK.[pasty county]Passed my motorcycle test in 1973 on a Suzuki T250J Hustler.Moved up to a GT550K which I still own.Enquired about an RE5 in 76 [£1395otr]back then but never bought one.Have owned lots of different bikes and finally in 1997 bought an RE5M as a non-runner and with Sam's help with parts got it on the road. It,s been off the road for a while but I am currently hoping to return it to the road. Also have another RE5M [no compression-currently soaking and a tatty RE5A.And a DKW[Hercules]W2000 basket case completely stripped which is going to be a challenge.I was sorry to read about Sam Costanzo,he was always helpful to me,I remember him sending me a key fob and RE5 emblem as a thankyou while I waited for a part he was sending.Glad to see that Rotary Recycle looks set to continue with the same dedication and passion.Ironic that the evening I find your forum, the first posting I see is about Sam.I used to be on the Yahoo Suzuki RE5 site but left a few years ago as it got infiltrated by spam etc.Think I've rattled on enough.Cheers.

Glad you found the board, and looking to hear the progress of your bikes. The administrator of this board has done a great job of screening.

Good to see you here re5man. Looking forward to reading your posts. There are lots of very knowledgeable RE5 owners here who are very helpful with any questions or help you may need. There are a few owners in the U.K. also who you may be able to meet up with sometime.

Thanks m8,you guys will have to bear with me as I'm pushing 56 and I'm the one finger computer type. Will get my daughter to show me how to take and post picures and then I will show you the Hercules W2000.Been completely dismantled for several years incl. the engine. Most parts are there and hopefully Jess will be able to supply the missing bits. The tank has been undercoated and left so will dig out the log-book to see what colour it should be.I've got a workshop manual .Cheers.
