That sure is one unique looking bike. I don't know what they are worth but it looks to me like the seller got a good price for it.

The Hercules is a much rarer bike than the Re5. The fit and finish is MUCH better than the Re5. The bike on eBay is a premix bike, they made about 1800 units. The REALLY rare ones are the oil injected models. In my experience, those start at 8500 for a rough but complete one. The seller got an excellent price for a non running, non correct, premix bike. I was quite surprised. I always shake my head when folks say..."running when parked" or "it just needs this little bit to get it running" I always think, well if it just needs that... you do it, then give me a call when it runs. I suppose it is the difference between taking a risk in the hopes of getting a steal, or just paying the money for what you want in the first place. If not that, then I guess it is impulse buying at it's finest. Just for a bit of perspective, the last deal I brokered for a beautiful, low mileage, original running riding bike (premix), the buyer paid 6500. That was a few years ago. Ebay is a strange place. Recently, I saw an NOS carb kit bring 175.00. I sell them for 60.00. I also saw a clean used gas tank (needed paint) bring 89.00, RR sells tanks like that for 250.00. The bottom line is anything is worth only what another is willing to pay. Apparently, A couple of guys were willing to pay over five grand for a non running, non original, kinda crappy(IMHO) Hercules. Maybe they will call me for parts... Just my 2 cents. Best, Jess
