Hello All,
Thank you for having this group to keep these bikes alive. I have owned my 1976 RE5 for almost 30 years and bought many parts from Sam and Jess over the years, but work, family and kids have kept my RE5 in the garage more than I would like. I just got my Rotary out again this year and took it for a ride. I've always been attracted to unique motorcycles and have owned a Honda CBX, Honda CB77-305, Suzuki GT550, Yamaha GTS1000 and many smaller Japanese bikes. But, there is nothing else like the sound and feel of a rotary.

Welcome Dutch. Great little selection you've owned, I've ridden, but not owned, all but the GT550.
What you say is quite true though and it even carries through to within the rotary selection. I've ridden both the Norton and the DKW. Both nice bikes, especially the Norton. But when I'm on an RE5, I really know I'm on something different.
