Quick question... my oil pressure light illuminates when the bike is warmed up and idling. It goes out when I rev past 1500 rpm. I ordered a new sensor off of eBay and plan to install it soon. Is the sensor removable without taking any other parts off? Any hints or tips? Thanks!

Just a word of caution, The sensor is a tappered pipe thread and can split the pressure regulator that it threads into if over tightened. There is a torque spec. in the manual and it is very low, take a look in the service manual on this site. Yes the sensor can be removed without removing any other parts and the large wrench / socket size is what could lead to easily over tightening.

Is this a bike you've just bought? Just in case the Oil Pressure light is working correctly and may be telling you something.
