Member HGH770N sent me these. They're from the bike he's currently repairing for a customer. Now here's your problem.......... previous owner: If you need to butcher the contact breaker plate to get your timing right, you might start to think something else's wrong? Like maybe you didn't align the timing gears? Just a warning, if you're struggling to get the ignition timing in the ballpark and nothing seems to line up, take a step back and consider it all worked when it left the factory. Have a think about how you've assembled the bike and check your work. Before doing this. Lugs removed and some "custom" work done to get things working on this one:

The first illustration appears to have a worn out or broken rubbing block, too.

Hi, time to confess, it’s my RE5 under the knife but not my bodge! If anyone has a good stator plate I would be grateful!
