Was wondering what other members are using and recommend for chain lube. After riding an old Gold Wing many years haven't really had to deal with that for a long time.

You may have trouble finding more of this brand. I'm on my second gallon after many larger cans splitting up a case at work. My second choice is RK Here i am lubing every s t i n k i n g spot on each link twice a day

Can't really make out the brand name on the first one, unless Chain Lube is the actual brand, but I guess if it's no longer made I won't be using that anyway. I'll try researching the RK brand. Thanks for the recommendation.

Since i derailed helpful response, I will say Maxima chain wax has good recognition and reviews.

Have wound up buying a couple of different chain lubes, one made by Dupont and one made by Justice Brothers. The JB was available at the local Menards, and have tried it. Goes on as a kinda semi-foam so you can see where it's been applied and has a not-unpleasant odor. I know you shouldn't buy chain lube based on how it smells but at least this stuff doesn't smell funky. I guess when it comes to chain lube something (anything?) is better than nothing.

At a show some years ago, I asked a rep on a stand of a company producing aftermarket chain oilers (the sort that drips onto the lower chain run, just forward of the rear sprocket) what oil they used (they sold little bottles of it with their brand-name on)?
Looking around to make sure no-one else was listening, he whispered ……
‘Chain-saw oil.’

kanonkopdrinker, I suspect the manufacturers and marketers of chain oil products can spew a bunch of high tech specs, lingo, and jargon, but as I also suspect the bottom line is using something (anything) regularly is better than nothing.
