Has anyone successfully removed and replaced one of these?
I found an NOS badge in my collection to replace the faded one on my bike - just need to figure out how to get the existing one off.
Any info greatly appreciated.

You might try dental floss worked behind with some adhesive solvent. Tim

I have used a hot air gun to help soften and release the glue ( Blow Dryer may work ) and a plastic pry tool.

If you don't care about the old badge, I used a small blowtorch to heat it and plastic "jimmy bar" to pry it away.
NOS you say? Is it pre-curved? Does it have an adhesive back? Is the line blue or blue/green? You know I'll be onya about it.

Air gun is good. I have use a few re pro’s from Australian. They are incorrect colour. They have a blue outline not the candy green ( not as iff anyone would notice without seeing originals) The re pro’s are thick alloy and flat. They can be carefully curved on each corner to shape the casings. Chem metal 2 pack sticks them on quickly. Old original ones I have had chromed and re painted in with some success.

For reference re the badges as discussion about "correct" has appeared on FB. Below are bonafide NOS badges (note the reverence with which they are stored in my parts collection ) The repros are as Roger says, flat, thick, no adhesive and a greeny blue colour rather than unambiguous blue. The final two pictures are original badges. The last taken by a friend of mine of his NOS bike he bought while still in its crate: Aftermarket badge I fitted to a bike. Hard to see but the green hue is definitely there. Compare to the next two pics, original but faded badge and last is an NOS crate bike. Like Roger said, you wouldn't know unless you "knew" or saw them side by side.
