Long story short, I had to sell me RE5 years ago to help put the kids through school. I always regretted it. I originally bought it with 2500 miles on it, I went through everything on the bike upgrading to Lester wheels, better bearings in the steering head and swing arm, I flipped the calipers around and did some porting to the intake and exhaust manifolds, rejetted the carburetor. It was my 3 RE5 and by far the best one. Through the Grapevine I found the bike, it had a brand new engine as the oil tank check valve had failed and it lost compression. The color of the bike changed from black to white and some exhaust tip extensions added. The tank was full of rust so I sent that out and rebuilt the carburetor. I upgraded the forks with Racetech valves and just got some period looking rebound adjustable Icon shocks and new tires. I really cant wait to put some miles on it. Attached are some pictures of it, as well as my last project, a 1976 Kawasaki Z900. Maybe someone could let me know how to get the photos flipped around? Ha, That's how they downloaded. .

Nice. I really like them in white. I had the pleasure of riding the RR one a decade ago and member ANDOUILLEMAN has a gorgeous full tour kit bike in white.
If you click on the pics they're the right way up so that's the main thing. Beautiful Z by the way.

Congratulations! That bike is pretty! By the way, when I click on your pictures, they open up individually in proper orientation. Strange.
