Is this the going price for this RE5 or is the seller celebrating like the clock struck midnight on New Years Day? Click to View

RE5 prices have increased significantly over the last year (like so many other VJM's). I've seen worse than this selling for more in AU.

Lol I bought that one. Actually it was all original never touched. All the clamps in place harness in the correct spots. CARB NEVER TOUCHED! I mean that is worth hours of my time. Main reason I bid was it was close by in Florida so it only was 150 to ship. As for what it is worth? I needed it to fix the other one I bought so they are kind of tuff to find.

Then absolutely worth it to you. Keep us posted on the resto of the other one. From your other post sounds like you know what you're doing.

Yea that’s another thing bringing up the prices on these bikes, an Ausi client of mine collects vintage dirt bikes and showed me his collection. It was very impressive, I’m not into such things but it was extremely cool to see over 150 bikes in one place. At that time he told be about the re5. I had to have one! Anything rotary goes to my shop and clients get to hear them run and everyone gets a kick out of it. So I think a lot of these bikes are finding a new home with Mazda RE guys. I never knew of this I’ve heard of the Norton and British bikes but this one keep such a low profile and stayed under the radar. Pretty cool and unique, truth be told I have never even drove a motorcycle and only rode one once. I’ve been into water cycles(jet skis). Take care

So I think a lot of these bikes are finding a new home with Mazda RE guys. Yup, I was into Mazdas for a long time (still am but don't have one at the moment). Got my bikes from advertising a wanted ad on a Mazda rotary forum, turned out the guy was 20 minutes from me! He was also grinning from ear to ear as I drove away with his one disassembled and one "ran when parked" bikes!

Yeah, I regard rotaries as the "herpes" of the car/bike world. Once you've got rotaries into your system, it just keeps on coming back!
