Interesting conclusion, and being fortunate to now own both myself, I'd largely agree too with his comments. There's just that one huge elephant in the Suzuki room........ That damned carburetor. In my opinion, there's only one place that hateful instrument belongs, and that is in a rubbish skip on its' way to the nearest landfill site!!!!!! Flat spots the size of a small planet, more cables than the national grid, and the wizardry of Merlin to get it anything like right doesn't appeal to me at all.
Right, shall I get off the fence now and tell you what I really think!!!!!!!

Interesting picture of Brunel, I believe standing in front of the anchor chain for SS Great Britain. If you look closely, you can see an RE5 carburetor at the end of the chain.
