Hi there after much deliberation and a good talking with Roger today I will be collecting my RE5 this weekend. I have been considering one for a few years now but was always concerned that they were a nightmare to keep in tune. As a retired race bike engineer I’m not scared of a challenge but as roger told me this one was one of his full restorations and it’s only done approx 300 miles since the build. I think I should be ok. But beware I may be asking a few questions along the way. It was a good choice I think Cheers malc

Dont worry about tuning , they do it themselves !!!, depending on the day temp humidity !!!, if the carby is set up right and has the late model plug adaptor you shouldnt have any problems there not rocket Science !!!!, you can find out all you need hear to keep them running , have fun on it .

Welcome, and as you are an engineer of the biking variety, perhaps a few (affordable), ideas on improving fuelling of these much loved motors but first have as much fun with the bike.
