Surprise no one has grabbed this proper yet. It may seem high priced but if it is a good real NOS never used it’s rare to find and would be great to have if your restoring a Re5 to keep. Some purest may say the number won’t match the frame but a runing bike is worth more then a non runner with blown proper. If any of my Re5 collection had low compression I’d grab it.

I'm surprised too. I was a little confused with the "remanufactured". Reconditioned proper or NOS? I thought that if it's reconditioned, that may explain the lack of interest. If it's NOS, it's and absolute bargain.
As for numbers not matching, this is the wonderful thing about the RE5, change the engine and the engine number does not change. The number is stamped on the casing that supports the proper unit and not on the proper unit itself. You can keep your frame/engine number match through any number of engine changes.
Purists be damned!

If this was for sale in uk or EU neighbours I would buy them . It would be ideal to add to a bike rebuild.

Purists be damned! I was not aware of any remanufactured propers from Suzuki, all were new. My first proper I replaced was actually run at the factory before shipment to my dealership to confirm oil consumption was within specs. All future propers were clean ports as the assembly was "down to a science", so to speak. From memory, the first 2 letters and numbers on the proper below the spark plug hole are an assembly date.

Seriously? That's an OEM proper unit. Throw it up an ebay and you'll be surprised at how much it gets...

I thought for sure it would be sold the first day.
Thanks for giving the forum the first chance of purchase.
