Thanks for letting me ride along.
1976 in really great condition, carb was dried out and plugged up. Ultra sonic clean and a kit from Jess, gap the points and she fires up and runs well.
Currently running on an external tank. I need to flush the tank and address the fuel valve. Open to suguestion on the valve.

Welcome aboard. Plenty of info here- I'm sure there's a fuel tap thread somewhere- converting it form a vacuum tap to normal style if your diaphragm has gone.
What is the problem with the fuel valve?
