I can't believe what's saleable among RE5's these days. I'd expect to walk past both those bikes buried in the back of some wrecker's yard and not give either a second glance. Now they've already reached $3K with time left on the auction.
Similarly when I see the quality of parts some people are trying to repair, it shows just how short we are becoming in supply.
Good for us all who already have some bikes. But glad I'm not looking for one to restore.

It's not just RE5's, it's everything that era, 2 wheels, 4 wheels, no wheels. Steel bumper cars are going nuts atm for things you'd take out bush and beat on until it died If they were in WA I'd think about it just for parts, or build one out of two - hard to say without standing next to them.

Looking at them, I'd say you could build 3/4 of a bike out of the two! Both missing crucial hard to find (expensive) bits.
