Okay UK members, what's going on here? If you can get this for an NOS RE5 you've hit the jackpot. But bids this high for this? And only one picture of the bike? Especially when the seller has a buy it now price of 4000 pounds (see photo 2). That auction end date surely should be April 1. Here's the link but photos below in case it disappears: RE5

Some UK members on FB seem familiar with this. It is a scam. The guy posting this ad has at least 3 ads, same bike, same info listed as the 2nd photograph and insane prices like over $50k AU for another one. There is an identical scam running with a Discovery 3. Apparently they hack accounts to make the bids.
Much worse than an April Fools joke.

This has been a scam on ebay for years here in the US.
Scammer has fake/Hacked account. Lists a super high end item. Rolex, McIntosh audio, rare car or motorcycle, for a low starting price, Then in the comments, they say buy it now at some ridiculous low price by contacting this email address,.
If you contact the email address, they want you to do WU wire transfer, green dot card, or some other non tradable, non refundable payment method. I often bid on them just to irritate the scammer, as in most it specifically says, NOT to bid.
There are so many red flags, that I cant believe anyone falls for it. But the ignorance and stupidity of people, as well as the greed, will never cease to amaze me. Anyone who believes they can get something for nothing... just amazing.
I have never seen an Re5 before, so that is a new one. I guess that means that Nigerian scammers have decided that the Re5 is very rare and valuable. I guess there is some consolation in that. LOL.
Again, Just my 2 cents, YMMV.
Best,

I'd bid on it but he polished the choke and cable cover on the carby. Not kosher anymore, spoiled it for me.

Indeed - he's virtually ruined the entire bike doing that...
