This is an old post, just some housekeeping to make it easier to find. Here's something useful if you need to remove a clutch cover for some reason. The marked red and yellow Allen head bolts are the ones you DON'T have to remove to take off the entire clutch cover. The yellow are obvious but not so the red. Any clutch cover bolts hidden from view or outside the picture frame must be removed. Also note that you should undo the large flanged bolt under the oil filter and remove the tube before pulling off the clutch cover. The other things are fairly obvious (metering pump oil lines and cable, tacho cable, points breather tube and unplug wiring). Wayne

Sometimes the Clutch Cover gasket "glues" the clutch cover to the inner housing and it can be a bugger to separate. Here's the quickest and easiest way: See that gap between the alloy gooseneck tube and the black frame tube? Fold a leather glove, shove it down that gap, stick a Jimmy bar in there or maybe a tyre lever and 1 second later the clutch cover is separated:
