Hi I need a sprag clutch anybody know where I can get one?has anybody had any luck referbishing one?

I have used clutches.
There was not enough parties willing to step up to get a small batch made, so no reproductions.

I popped out the sprag clutch from one of my RE-5 Clutches recently. I noticed that the SV-650 uses a sprag clutch set-up.
I WILL drop by the local Suzuki Shop this week and see if it is a match.
I'll letch'all know as soon as I can.

Thanks for the info,I believe it's the rollers that were didn't know if they could be replaced?anybody tried?

Suzuki hyabussa sprag clutch looks around the right size to? Worth a look?

Yes! To review: I lost 2 starters to a locked sprag clutch (There was an Ace Starter guy at a shop who *almost* dissected the starters. All parts except the front end piece were standard in-catalog pieces. Then, he left. *Sigh*. If anyone wants to try again... Moral: No matter how trashed an RE-5 assembly piece is, Don't Throw It Away!)
If these sprag-clutches are Suzuki favorites, Inquiring Minds NEED to know.

PS: In another Thread, I mentioned the GS-850. Suzuki used a hollowed out clutch shaft in the GS-850 to run the clutch engagement mechanism shaft through. This MAY have started with the RE-5.
This may be the One-Crossover-Part-Too-Many to know but...

I had the original NSK-Warner part number and went to NSK-warner. According to them, nothing in the world cross references.
I went to a custom clutch manufacturer. That entire saga was documented in another thread. Not enough interest.
I genuinely wish you guys luck. Please let us all know if you find one that works.
