The keys to fit the Factory Touring Kit Saddlebags ( Panniers ?) and trunk, (they all took the same key) show up on E-Bay as they fit many different items such as Brief cases, Luggage, Musical instrument cases. The brand of latch is “EXCELSIOR” and were made in U.S.A. Search for (excelsior key #40 ) and they usually show up. After seeing the price ($12 )on e-bay I went to an old lock shop in town and showed the young man my sample. After looking through the rack of key blanks, he told me he didn’t have that blank and probably wouldn’t want to cut it anyway as it is a steel key. I mentioned that I thought they were sold only as pre-cut. He then went to the back room and returned with 3 boxes of old pre-cut keys. There were 4 new keys ringed together in the bottom of one box. All for the price of one key from e-bay. The joy of a successful treasure hunt.
The Fairing compartment use a common brass key and all fairings were keyed alike that I have been able to check. So a copy of any working key should work.
