Pictures, Photo's: how to post using a 3rd party site.

The board itself can host pictures however I don't recommend this. The storage capacity is very limited and we're usually bumping up against our limit.
Step 1: If you're not on a 3rd party hosting site, join one. It's free to join.

Step 2: Select the photo on your computer that you want in a board post and upload it to your hosting site. I'll use my flikr as an example. Here are some uploaded pictures. We'll use the circa 1976 racing rotary photo in the top left:
Step 3: Select the photo you want to display on the board by clicking on it. It will expand to occupy most of the screen like this:
Step 4: In the picture above, in the bottom right corner, select the "share" icon (a swoopy arrow pointing right).
Step 5: A small menu window will open which says "Share 1 photo to:" and below that will be four options: Share Embed Email BBC code. Select BBC code.
Step 6: Below the highlighted code in the above picture, you'll seen an option for photo size. Use the drop down arrow to select the middle "Medium" size (see the final pics below of the racing rotary to compare the difference between "Medium" and "Large" versions.
Step 7: Highlight the string of letters that came up in the address bar in the picture above (usually starts with (url=https....). Copy the highlighted address.
Step 8: Write your post on the board forum and below the last line of your writing where you want the picture to appear, paste the address from Flikr: (note that for this demonstration, I've deliberately corrupted this address line by adding a few "X"s to stop it displaying the picture in this post. During the composition stage of your post, it will look as it does below. Once you complete your post and submit it, the image will appear but for now I'm just showing you what the code will look like:

Step 9: To tidy up your post, delete all the writing that appears before the [img htxtps and after the .jpg[/ img]. If you don't do this, your photo will be preceded and succeeded by the unnecessary address gobbly gook. Note once again that I'm corrupting the address by adding random "x"s or spaces. This is how the tidied up version will appear as you write your post.

And when you finally submit the post this is how that will appear as a "Medium" file. Below that is the same picture as a "Large" File.
