Rebuilding a RE5 carb. Looking for the accelerator pump diaphragm with the eyelet but cannot find it anywhere. Any help would be great

It shows to still be available in the US anyway, not sure of Dealerships elsewhere.

I've got a friend down here who claims that he went to a regular garden variety carby shop and the guy had a box full of accelerator pump diaphragms he reckons were exactly the same. He suspects that it may have been a general off-the-shelf item covering numerous carb models. Perhaps worth checking if Suzuki doesn't work out.

It is not an “accelerator pump” diaphragm.
It is the choke unloader diaphragm. It was never available as a separate part via Suzuki.
If Stuart is making them, I suggest you get a couple as they are unobtainable.

I have found needle and seats that are solex mikuni , car carbies , fitting many mitsubishi vans , that are the same as re5s , so as for excellorator pumps and possibly choke unload diaphrams , could be same , just an idea to check

That would be useful info to have regards Terry Hi I got a few from a carby specialist in Queensland Aus Classic carburetors , it fits mitsubishi L300 1600 1980 to 1990 ish they had a solex mikuni carby , I will have a look for part no in my spares box , hope this helps , urs Al |
