Hi does anybody know what this consists of it’s the modification kit for the carburettor No 99104-09050

Yes, this was an early modification in part to remove the wind up of the grip. It included a new RH throttle grip assembly. This addressed
some drivability issues.

Did this give a flat spot on 1/4 throttle response

No, nothing to do with the kit. Wish it were that simple.
Journalist evaluations complained of having to wind in too much cable before anything started happening. Suzuki responded with a simple fix. A stop on the throttle winding mechanism (contained within the right throttle grip assembly) which took out a lot of the slack. Just made riding around a bit more pleasant but had no effect on carburettion whatsoever.
Look under the body of the right throttle grip, the body where the two throttle cable elbows come out. If there's a small slotted grub screw locked by an 8mm (I think) nut, you've got the kit fitted.
