Hi All,
Any rotor heads going to the Quail Motorcycle gathering in Carmel Valley, California this year? I have applied to display my M model conversion for the first time since I completed it last year.
Most years there is an RE5 or two as well as many other cool old bikes.

Thanks for sharing.

Hi All,
My entry has been accepted and my Firemist Orange bike will be on display and I should be nearby all day. If you attend please stop by and say hello.
Hope the weather is warmer this year. Last year we froze while listening to Kenny Roberts, Wayne Rainey and Mert Lawwill reminisce about their racing heroics.

Hi All,
The Quail Motorcycle gathering was fun! A very well run and enjoyable event. Cool motorcycles, nice people, great food! There were 6 rotaries there. A soon as we pulled in we saw a Norton rotary going down the road to the show field. My RE5M was the only one there, but there were two A models (one with zero miles), and 2 Hercules.
When I started my bike people gathered around with their cell phones to make videos. I felt like a rock star. Many questions were asked, many of which I couldn't answer, so I guess I have to study up on RE5 history and technical details for next time.
A young woman called rotary engines "tumbling triangles", which I found amusing and had never heard before.
