Hello All, I continue to make slow progress. I am in the middle of mounting the radiator and oil cooler and have a couple of questions. The parts book show I need 8 of number 18 washers to mount the radiator. The parts book also shows I need 4 of the number 10 washers (same part number as the number 18 washer above) to mount the oil cooler. The problem is that I have only 9 of the washers and I know I didn't misplace 3 of them so either the parts book is wrong or someone else has had the radiator and oil cooler off before I got to it. Can anyone verify the parts book is correct or other wise describe the correct washer stack ups? Also, I have 2 pair of rubber bumpers like shown in the picture below. I know the one on the right goes over the top radiator mounting bolts but have no idea where the bumper on the left goes? Can anyone tell me where they go? Thanks, Rich

I'm pretty sure the awful truth is that there are supposed to be 12 washers. You can see they logically belong either side of those rubber isolation mounts.
From working on the limited number of bikes that I have, I believe that they are the sort of thing easily misplaced and/or ignored by previous owners.
The top radiator mounting bolts each have a large rubber knob on them, I think the knob has a rubber lip on it and fits the machined head of the top bolt very neatly. I don't recognise the other rubber though.
Ebay sellers sometimes list bulk lots of sundry nuts bolts and washers from recycled bikes. I have seen this occasionally for RE5s.

Thanks for the bad news Wayne. I was able to sourced the needed pieces and now just wait for them to arrive.
