Hey I hate to say it but I agree something doesn't seem right about the re5 for sale on eBay in Arizona . I have pictures of a re5 for sale in North Carolina that sold for 1700 dollars that looks like the same bike and headlight bucket is cracked in the same spot. I guess anything is posible but be careful if you put up money. Sorry to the seller if I have mislead anyone. I can say for sure I sent a message to the seller asking for more pictures and info about the bike and never received any reply. Hope I'm wrong and this isn't the same bike form North Carolina that didn't run and it a fake add. Do your homework before you bid!

That's kind of a shoddy ad. One pic and a cheap one liner with no info. Something stinks in the state of Denmark.

We had something similar in the UK a few years back with a Norton Interpol 2 ....
Really, it could be almost any object, not solely motorcycles - but ideally one which will attract a fair bit of interest. Simply obtain a picture of it and bung in on eBay ... And hope for the best.
What normally alerts the buyer is the requested method of payment from the vendor. They tend to avoid PayPal, and opt instead for something like a money transfer to an account.

I sold a GL1000 about 5 years ago. Months after the sale I was getting enquiries from Europe. I was telling people that 1: the bike was sold months ago and 2: It was in Australia. Then ebay contacted me telling me about a compromise and to change my password.
It seems the ad was hijacked somehow and was being advertised by some scammer. How and why enquiries were coming to me I have no idea.
As David says, someone steals some pics or in this case the whole ad, bungs it on ebay and hopes someone gets to the point where they actually pay.

I just received a message from eBay telling me that the re5 I looked at in Arizona is a fraud to forward and messages from the seller to me to Ebay. So members don't give any of your personal info to the guy saying he is selling the re5 in Arizona it's s scam.

ebay says it is going to be removed again. Ebay says do not open email messages from azsecretshoppe claiming he is the seller or messages through ebay with that same user name about the re5. be careful everyone!

I messaged the seller for the heck of it to see if I'd get a response this time... and I did. I also have his phone number as (917) 414-2817. Comes back as a New York number. Said he "cant email much I'm a tech at Harley Davidson". Odd... I acted very interested, but as soon as I wanted more pics, all communication stopped.

I agree not clean enuf for me for 5000 dollars. Mr. Jess . The real bad thing is according to eBay the seller is not real and their is someone that is biding on the bike. I hope the person biding sees all our messages and is super careful about the sale and giving the guy claiming to be the seller money. I gave up calling Ebay and them telling me it's not a real item threw Ebay and they say there going to remove it again. They removed it twice but it keeps coming back. Be safe everyone. Have a great day everyone!
