I have had more inquiries about electronic ignition units. Enough that I am considering another run.
Small runs of any part are staggeringly expensive.
Please post here if you want one.
If I can get 20 made the price drops to 450.00
If I can only get 10, the price will be 500.00.
I believe they are an excellent unit. I have never had one returned. They replace two unobtainium parts, the CDI box and the points. They are plug and play. Not one wire needs to be cut, spliced, or tapped. No addition holes need to be drilled and nothing cut or modified in any way. They can be installed in under two hours, by someone with minimal mechanical expertise with common hand tools.
Once I make the order, It will take about 90 days to get them shipped. I won't make the order unless there is enough interest.
Best,

I use the british made boyer IDEI kit 00069 on mine costs £30 plus you have to use a standard coil of the type fitted to british bikes ...The contact breakers /points remain but are just used as a switch so will last a life time ....timing is made easy as a red light comes on when the points open ....leave the CDI box on for cosmetic reasons only ...

Good for you. Glad you found something that works.
The factory system, as designed also uses the points as a switch. Points very rarely fail due to current issues. However, timing is constantly changing as the rubbing block wears with each revolution of the engine... And will eventually fail.
I looked into having points made. The issue was that I had to order 10000 units to get them made. The cost was too high.
Nos points are very rare and expensive, if you can find them.
My system eliminates BOTH the points and CDI. There is nothing to wear out. It is plug and play and allows for accurate and stable timing.
Again, if anyone is interested, I am considering making another run.
Best regards,
