We will be displaying again at this years Natianal Motorcycle show in Birmingham and I will see if i can contact and old friend from Suzuki GB technical

Wow, that could be even cooler then the exploration sub going down on the Titanic. Think we could get Clive Cussler to write a novel about the lost at sea RE5's and then mount an expedition to bring them up??? I can hear the narration now... "As they approached what they felt is the dump site, the dive team noticed numerous round themed items, including a strange looking instrument panel..." ;D

Somebody told me that Suzuki sold some rights to apex seal design to Mazda and got a lot of that money back. Does anybody know anything about this? He was the only person that I have ever heard this from but I'm still a noob in the RE-5 community.

Hi Jess,if the records show approx. 6300 units made, is there a breakdown of the numbers of RE5M's and RE5A's.I like both models and like many here have both.I suppose some people like the M for the unique styling while others prefer the mainstream styling of the A.

Almost 50-50... Records are of course incomplete Unfortunately, what is not factored in is that many M models were converted at dealerships by teams form Suzuki. (The buying public did not like the styling?) I personally uncrated an A model a few years ago, that was converted from an M at the factory and placed back in the box. The M specific parts (turn signals, instruments, taillamp headlamp bucket) were then ordered destroyed ... So... now that the M model is the more desirable bike (trends change), they are much more expensive. Hope that helps... Best, Jess P.S. They are mechanically the same bike, unless you factor in factory production changes.
