thought maybe there could be some interest here. Every year for the last 10 there has been an event put on my the SoCal RX7 club called SevenStock. This year is year XI and the event will be saturday September 27 at Mazda USA in Irvine, CA. sevenstock.org/I have been to every one since 5, there are usually 1 or 2 RE5's and it would be cool if we could get more! Last year I had my 93RX7 and the RE5 (hauled out by a friend) and a friend had his Hercules. This year I will be bringing the RE5 loaded in the back of my 74 rotary pickup. It will run me over $200 in gas but its well worth it. There are lots of rotaries from the 70's and a good time is had by all.

Here's some pictures from the event, I didn't do a very good job of capturing my trip but at least there is one picture of my RE5 in the back of the rotary pickup stopped in the sand dunes on the drive home. I came to the realization on that drive home that I am one of only a small handful of people who have ever driven any distance with a rotary bike in the back of a rotary pickup... I wonder if there is a Guiness Record for that? picasaweb.google.com/tom93r1/SevenStock12?authkey=Gv1sRgCJ6J3sCk37PXcQ#

Tom thanks for the photos, it seems to have been a well represented meet, it also seems you had the only pickup there and RE5 as well.

The only other rotary bike there was a new Norton, that thing was sweet! But the guy who brought it said the engine still uses entirely 60's rotary tech and the RE5 engine is more advanced (not considering the auxiliary systems). Total there were 6 or 7 rotary trucks and some were very nice, makes me want to do some clean up on mine.

I would like to go, I've never been. I've been to three of them. They're a lot of fun. Its always great to hear them fire up the 787b. Also lots of great experts to talk with.

NOTHING beats the BrapBrpBrap Brap Brp sound of a 4 rotor! Absolutely love it, could go to sleep listening to that!
