Sorry it's taken so long to get an answer for this Allan. It's not the sort of thing that people have lying around. I pulled one out of a carb I have waiting for cleaning:
Total length 45.9 mm. Appears to be brass.
Diameter 1.18 mm
For a distance of 3.5 mm at each end, the diameter is reduced by a step down to 0.72 mm.
Otherwise Roger (HGH 77N) did have some needles a little while back.
