Can anybody tell me if engine 12716 was fitted to frame 13110 ? According To a German site I went on I think it probably did ? And also did all 're5m's have the spherical turn signal design Or did it change during the production run ? I am presuming the spherical design is nla and rare as Hens teeth !!!!!! Cheers! Allan.

Your numbers sound correct based upon the bikes around you. However, no one can tell you if it is what the factory did as no records exist.
Also, the "engine" number is really the primary number. There are no serial numbers stamped on the engine. So when folks ask if the engine is original... no one knows.
I have an NOS M bike that is still on the MSO. I am fairly confident that it is as it came from the factory. Since I did not uncrate it and it likely passed through several hands before it came to me, who knows?
M and A are cosmetic designations. All M models had M cosmetics. All A models had A cosmetics. To my knowledge, no bikes left the factory with a mixture of cosmetics. Suzuki made mechanical changes, improvements, adjustments through the entire range.
And yes... All M cosmetic bits are very rare, and therefore expensive... If you can even find them. Much of the A stuff is getting that way as well.
