Hello everyone, I intend to change the H4 (Koito) headlight (from a 650 Katana) that I installed on my RE5 M back to a stock headlight. I have some stock headlights but they all show some pitting and rust on the reflector. Has anyone ever tried to re-chrome them as it seems to be impossible (sealed) or are there still new or NOS headlamps somewhere for sale? Regards Fth

Regards Fth I was recently aware of driving a stock M model at night. Similar to a yellow candle. The better headlights are spoiling for sure. I have a one stock headlamp with a good reflector, and another one that may be new. Timpa136

Fonny,
The was a European version of the M headlamp that used a replaceable lamp, and an always on driving lamp.
The bulb they used were quite bright and I used them on several builds a few years ago. However they were quite expensive.
I acquired a case of them NOS some years ago from a closing distributor. I'm not sure where they are, but they are in storage... Maybe next to the spark plug shims.
You might look and see if you can find some somewhere s they were specifically built for the European market.
Regards

Isn't the GT750 and the RE5 headlight the same... or similar?

Different part numbers for the headlight glass, probably very similar. The chrome shell has the same part number as the M/A/B GT750.
