Ride out to Stanford hall yesterday with Extensions and db fitted, In total ride was 200 miles with no issues . I noticed it ran cooler and seemed to lack some of its power on acceleration or maybe it just seems like it because it was quieter.
Average mpg was 37, although that included 130 motorway miles. Another owner fitted some to his bike so I await his comments .
Cost price would be down to how many were made. Message me if you are interested and I will get a price.

Hi Roger,
Nice to meet up Sunday, many thanks for the exhaust extension tips, I'm really pleased with them. Fitted straight on and no issues, that's what I like!
The decibel reducer has been well thought out and not just a straight through tube as on the original. I don't think it's affected performance any, it just seems to have a better effect, especially when rolling off the throttle, so with my fairing on and the exhaust tips, the bike now feels like it was made for touring and I'm actually riding some 10 to 15 miles an hour quicker than I used to.
Just my thoughts only.
Regards Guy

More ride out this afternoon in this summers heat. The engine is running cooler than before fitting last week, I will have to remove db reducers and see if that has affected the back pressure and making it run richer/cooler. In have added a link to youtube, its a totally different sound. [/p]

I like the db killing function which might help to keep peace with the neighbors and I'm interested as well! Hubert

I have clocked up some more miles on the bike with extensions fitted. The bike dose run cooler and realizes more MPG. After 34 years of ownership it is now a pleasure on the ears .

Ride out yesterday to Silverstone with Guy, I covered over 200 miles with a mpg of 39.6 . Both of our bikes ran at a cooler temperature and more MPG .

Martin, I hope your issue isn't the CDI unit , mine only lasted 40 years, I had a intermittent fault for a long time before it failed , They are a repairable unit if it is. The TROPHY WINNER has fitted a RE5 faring on his "Prize wining Bike" and he finds it very rider friendly in this UK weather. I never did find out which judge he bribed to get his winning prize, ( He did buy me a ice cream though out of the prize money ) I have a touring kit i intend to add to my bikes maybe with some bribery i can win next time. Rog

Due to good feed back and requests from owners i have had another batch of these exhaust extensions made and listed them on ebay. If any forum members wants to buy a set sent me MP and discount would be quoted with out ebay fees. They weigh 1kg so take this into consideration with shipping cost.
