Does anybody have a working fuel level sender, mine doesnt seem to work using the test method in the manual.
Is it possible to repair? is it normally a broken wire or does the thermistor cook itself, cant believe the price of these things.
i see that the suzuki sv650 uses the same system and second hand these parts are very reasonable and might be modifyable, anybody tried?
any help gratefully received, regards, Ian.

I have repared mine some years ago. The prinsiple is the same for all bikes with a single fuel lamp without a fuel gauge. It is based upon fuel cooling a NTC resistor. On a working unit I have measured the dry resistanse to be about 2 kohm, but I did not try to buy a single resistor. I bought a complete unit for a 1993 GSX-750, and used the complete resistor arrangement from that. It should be possible to use any spare parts from a bike with the same principle, which I know is used both on Kawasakis and Yamahas. Regards Gunnar

Just sealed one up. Now it leaks from the bolt holes.
UGH. Have to find some flat sealing washers.
It truly never ends..
And I LOVE it!
