Morning all,
After wanting an RE5 for quite some time I feel I must 'scratch the itch' & buy one!
I guess I'm after a good or very good condition one as i'm not the very best at repairs. Used to mess with 2 strokes when I had to but not much else.
If anyone has, or knows to one, preferably in the uk please let me know. I am based in Worcestershire, central, & can travel with my van to see/collect.
Thanks all & can't wait to get one!

Welcome Chris, You have a lot to learn about the RE5, but like the rest of us on this forum when you get one its like "Marmite" and you will quickly love it or hate it and sell it on. igrumpy1 ( Keith ) on this site is situated in your area and he has a USA import that he is trying to get on the road, He may be worth a contact.

Chris,
While searching for my first project bike I have come across two RE5 Suzuki bikes. The lady says they are a 1975 and 1976, but I think they are both 75's. She also has a new "engine" which is still in the box and wrapped in clear seal. I have decided that I do not have near the knowledge or money to restore one of these. I have not made an offer on them but am considering buying them so that they don't rot away in her shed. I am intrigued by the bike, but just too ignorant. I May try to buy them to resell and make a few bucks towards a simple project. I don't know what "good" means, but one will need considerable work, but appears to have everything you need. The other one is fully intact and has good compression. Both blue. I might try to work a deal for you, if interested.
